Day 10 (a day late)

Its a Weapon Tool Rack.  In a regular year I'd just be "well we always get a bloody weapon rack".  This year it just feels like salt in a open wound.  :-\

Day 11 (on time)

Much, much happier today.  A lovely little build of one of the most sympathetic characters in Andor: B2EMO or Bee-Two.  This is what I want from a Droid themed calendar, not grey boxes of junk.

Day 12 (late again)

OK, yet another zero build day.  Points for being cute though.  I fully admit to having to look this wee guy up.  DB-72 as seen in the Mandalorian.

I'm glad they included B2 as he looked like he was either made of Lego or purposely designed to have a Lego version of him made.

And, as (arguably) one of the more pivotal droid characters (the assault on him launched an entire planet into open rebellion) I don't think he gets enough attention.

Day 13 (late again)

A truck.  Without looking I'm pretty sure it's Jawa/Tatoonie based.  https://jaysbrickblog.com/star-wars-2/lego-star-wars-advent-calendar-2025-countdown/#day13

It's no Y-Wing but at least it was a build.

Day 14.

A crane arm.  By itself it's pretty bull, but it's clearly meant to go with yesterday's truck.  I don't recall there being a two day build before and I'm not sure how I feel about it.  If I liked the vehicle more I think I'd be happier.  Still not bad though.

Day 15 (late AGAIN)

A festive Jawa.  With a Gonk and DB droid motif on his jumper.  Clearly we now have a driver for the truck.  Effectively a three part build over three days.  I think I'm OK with the idea, I just wish it was a bit more exciting than a brown truck.

Day 16.

Another droid to build.  I really impressed my daughter by being able to say where this guy appeared.  Don't tell her is was a very lucky stab in the dark, OK?  :D

Called a Treadwell droid it was seen in the Jawa's inventory in A New Hope.  Needs more arms to be honest but it's fine.

Scrappy Battle Droid.  A staple of the SW Advent Calendar with a scrapyard twist.

Day 18.

Oh, and it was starting to feel a little better.  :-\  Another bit of pretty non-descript scenery.  The upside is that it comes with another Battle Droid head so with raiding the other parts box and we have enough to make a second Scrap Droid.

There is definitely no shortage of droids in the Star Wars universe.  Heck, with just a few different head shapes and colors they could cover the 24 days in an Advent calendar just with various Astromech types.

This is actually pretty cool!

Day 20.

I think the most pleasure I normally get is from the mini vehicle builds.  Character figs are also good.  However a generic B2 Battle Droids leaves me uninspired.

As I said, no shortage of droids!

Every now and then I think about buying Lego stuff, but I don't have the space or the time to store or build it.  I tell myself I'll just collect Minifigs because they are so cool.

But I'm a junkie and that's a slippery slope.

I figure "I'll just get the various Stormtroopers" but that gets pretty wide pretty fast.  Of course Stormtroopers wouldn't exist without clones so I have to get all the clone troops as well, and also Vader because you need to have someone to lead them, and what are clones but generic Mandos, so I have to get them, and since I have Vader I might as well get all the Sith which means I also need some Jedi to fight them. ...

And so on and so on.

So instead I force myself not to get any of it, and I live vicariously through all of you guys!

Day 21+22 ('cos I'm getting rubbish at this)

Two neat little builds though.  First was a Imperial Probe.  Feels a little squished but I like it well enough.  Second is a......green one.  Nope, I had zero idea where this one is from.  :D Even without the Christmas Tree colour I would have had no idea.

After looking it up I don't feel so bad.

Day 24 (it's finally over)

OK, a nice festive droid to finish with; a snowman BB8 with a low-res Christmas Tree.

Way too many duff days with scenery and no builds far too common for me to happy.  I normally hate the idea of looking content images ahead of time (spoilers) but I can't imagine not checking next year before I spend my money.

I can definitely see where you are coming from in that there has been a lot of boring stuff this year, but I think some of the cool stuff makes it... Well... Still very cool!

The Jawa and a virtual droid army, plus Babu Frik was also kind of cool.

For whatever it's worth, I appreciate you sharing it!

Cheers Grant.

I think a hit rate of less than 50% (personal opinion anyway) really isn't good enough for me but you're not wrong to say there was some definitely cool stuff in there.  Bee-Two I think ranks as my favourite.

The advent calendar has been a miss for me most years recently, especially at full price.

Discounted it's tempting for those couple exclusives.

The kid gave the two of us a Lego set for Xmas, he knew how much mom likes puzzles and how much I like models, and how we both like woll-e, so he put it all together and got us this, this should be fun! And yes it has the roach, the boot, and the block of trash,,

Can I join? Work stress has been going up lately, new boss and new co-manager. Both new to the industry so the lack of experience is starting to show. Feels like everything is on my shoulders. So I've gone back to my most favorites, awesomeness hobby --- Legos!!

I enjoy the Technic Legos when I can afford it. I'll have to show the few I have. But my son got this for me for Christmas and I couldn't resist. Took about 2 days and most of dinner table space

Kingfisher, next to it is the Countycomm tray I used for the parts. As well as the Lego multitool.

Thanks! I was just telling my son that Lego has a whole botanical line. The Kingfisher would fit nicely with a few sets.
