Black or Satin blade?

Which do you prefer for edc, a knife with  a black or satin blade ?
I know it also depends on your kind of work or workplace.
For me, I prefer to carry a black blade like for example a black pm2 or manix.

I generally prefer a satin blade, unless the steel itself is known for easy corrosion then coating would probably help to prevent that.

No coating on blades for me please... it is prettier and might help corrosion, but any coating will chip and scratch sooner or later and I don't like the beat-up look on blades (neither do I like to "baby" my users)

I started with only satin and then added a few black ones here and there. No real preference, although I find some blades look better in black. I also kind of like the wear marks some coatings get (the hard wearing ones that actually wear and don't chip).

I generally try to avoid using my folders for food, but occasionally I do such as eating apples. As such I prefer my blades to be uncoated

i like satin although that black does look good after some use , a little worn never hurt the look on anything.

I like a deep stonewash better than black or satin.

I will say that a coated blade isn't really great looking all scratched up. I guess it depends on the knife. If I had to choose though, it would be satin.

In the past i always wanted coated blades. But because those knifes always looked horrible after a couple uses with hard material i now only want knifes that have just a plain satin blade.
