1851-1885 Union Knife Company FARRIER (Equestrian) #2 !!!!
« on: December 03, 2015, 11:05:10 PM »
I posted a thread here when I found my first one of these over a year and a half ago. Since then I have seen precious few of any style knife from this rare early USA maker. That was until a week ago and I loved the first knife so much that I nearly cried when I saw this... I guess having 2 makes me a collector?

Fascinating.  :salute:

A well designed pocket knife is basically timeless.  Few things can say that.

Hard to believe but I forgot the fleam. Actually I didn't know it was there until last night. The whole bloodletting tool for animals (or humans) gives me the creeps so I didn't care that mine didn't have the tool. Although, it's nice that the tool is complete. It was VERY thin and hard to see in the handle.
