Nice find, even though I can't imagine ever using a ruler with inches. The only time I need one is when having to translate lengths used on this forum into normal useful universal French invented metric numbers.  :D

Well, it wasn't cheap, to be honest  :whistle:

But in fact, yes, because I had buy it anyway :D

I knew it was an old one, because of the saber blade and the left-hand can opener, so I knew it was a early / mid 80', but there was essentially photos of the tools, the plier head, only one photo where, looking now, I can distinguish (not so obvious) the inches only handles.

So it's a very good surprise, and I thought it was not something so rare (I'm pretty sure we have here, someone who have at least one exemplary of this BO PST ;) ), but it seems to be rarest than I thought, finally  :woohoo:

I saw, at the very first pages of this thread, that some people have collected about 100 pst, so I'm pratically sure that someone have several exemplary of this one, but, yes, it's an early PST, I was lucky for this one ;)

Per our fellow member and author of “Leatherman Pocket Survival Tool Inspection Report”, Brenton Covington,  this is detailed on page 46.

My four tools within reach  :multi: each have a mark too.

Mine either have a 2, on SS MODELS,  and a 5 on my BO MODEL.

It appears that every PHILLIPS has a casting mold mark.

There are two different PHILLIPS designs. The square corner style as pictured earlier and a rounded style.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Picked this up locally the other day. Feel lucky to find an old one in what I think is decent shape. Cleaned it up a bit today. On the lookout for a sheath for it  :whistle:.
