It seems like a good idea on paper but I wonder about it in reality.  Generally modern society frowns on someone removing their clothing in public, and the second you try to undo your belt when there are other people around someone is likely to start filming, call 911 or both.

If there was some way of using it without looking like you are taking off your pants then maybe they'D have something.

What the boss said, it is just so inconvenience to deploy the tool....

One time when my boy was just a baby, we put him in a high chair, I took of my belt to use as seat belt because there wasn't one. Man that was an awkward moment and everyone was staring. :dwts:

Gerber has a few different multi-tool belts out. I do not think they are all that popular.

Guys I hear what being said about having to remove the belt to access the tool  :tu:.  With this type buckle you wouldn't actually have to remove the entire belt.  I have buckles that I can change out by simple unsnapping the end of my belt where the buckle is.

Yes you would have to fiddle with your belt but I believe it could be done discreetly.  Just my 2c.  Neat idea for sure tho.

The phrase "here, let me get that for you" uttered as your pants fall to your ankles is not a situation I want to find myself in.

Again.

When you lose the primage purpose of something (in this case, holding up one's pants, which is generally considered important when in public or on the job) in order to use a secondary function, it negates the convenience of having that device.  At least, in my opinon.

I'm not arguing that it is a neat concept, and yes, I would propably buy one, but I really don't think it has many real world applications.

If I had it on and had no other tool I would use this but if I had other options my belt would stay on methinks  :D It is a good concept and possibly a good Father's Day gift :tu:

I like it for it's whole Madmax  / steampunk thing it's got going on sure,

Would I wear one? Yeah, I probably would.

Would I dick around with it to use the tools? Probably not. (except occasionally try to use the wrench, so it looks like I'm power ******* a fastening into submission)

How sad is it that I had pretty well exactly the same thought?

About wearing and not using it, not about power ******* a fastening into submission......

Yeah, as others have said, not sure on practicality. But I'm pretty sure I'll end up buying one :). Heck, never hurts to have another wrench around... though for bolts that size, it's not like you couldn't just use the pliers on your MT.

Some of us kinda need our belts.

Either we have ten pounds of stuff in our pockets or we bought our pants more than thirty pounds of us ago or both. Either way, belt must be used as belt or we're dropping stuff on our feet.
