In 1945 my Dad was released from Stalag VII POW camp near Munich.
One of the few things he was able to bring home was a folding pocket knife he picked up in the camp.
This knife was used by him from then until he passed away in 1993, it was used for everything a knife could be used for & as such is in a battered condition.
Wood scales split, bolster missing.
There are no makers details anywhere only the words "ROSTFREI" & "GARANTIE STAHL" on the blade tangs. Would it be at all possible to ID this knife to any particular maker or will it be a generic design used by many?
I would really like to see an example of what it would have looked like originally.
The closest I've seen is the Grohmann single blade folder.
