Yeah, "membership" is very informal here. :D  Just post pics, discuss your experiences, ask questions or whatever. :salute:  If the Clubs have any point at all (and that's debatable ;)) it's simply that it lets others know that a specific area of interest is being talked about and that you might want to jump in.

it has a point - we don't clutter every other thread with 16 000 000 000 love letters to Mora

Here's just a couple of my Moras- although I confess the tan Bushcraft is only available in Europe right now. Morakniv emailed me a pic when I asked them if they planned any other colors of Bushcraft stainless beyond Black and Orange.

I have Eldris, Companion, Companion HD, 2000, an older original 2.5mm Bushcraft, Bushcraft Black and Orange, and Garberg. I love them all- capable, no-nonsense, easy-to-maintain, sharp steel. I had a custom Kydex sheath made for my Garberg, although I find the leather sheath to be exceptional. I carry it cross draw and have room for my multitool (Swiss Champ) and my Spyderco.

Do I get to join this club?!

I'd like to see Mora make or offer the simple clip sheaths like the ones that come with Companion, Companion HD and Bushcraft Black for purchase, as well as a similar sheath for Garberg.

I know the sheaths are cheap but they are effective, lightweight and have good-enough retention. I have a suspicion Moraphiles would buy different colored sheaths too. Although it's nice to have sheaths made, one of the neat things about Mora is the value priced knives; so too would be the option to buy value sheaths.

That said, here's another shot of my Garberg's Kydex home.

Very cool- thank you. I know Dave Canterbury's Self Reliance Outfitters has similar leather sheaths too. Many seem to be danglers but I'm sure there are some belt loop ones too.

Even still, I'd figure the Mora plastic sheaths would be closer to $10-12 and just about as indestructible as the Moras themselves. Seems like it would be easy enough for them to produce and sell them; perhaps I'm the only one who'd like this option though!

I don't care for the plastic sheath that came with my Mora, but I might use it if I was going to be out in some muddy wet stuff.

When it comes to using a Mora on things that will smell bad later (meat, fish) I prefer the plastic sheath since it is a lot easier to maintain. The Companion though could use an upgrade, mostly just for style points as the plastic sheath does the job quite well

Learned this lesson thanks to you guys after smelling the Companion's handle. If that rubbery handle can take the scent, leather will too

:salute:  I usualy prefer the 510 in my Tackle box but my 11 year old pinched that one  so now got a #1 classic in there, although I've not sanded the red paint off that one as hopefully will give more protection to the wood against smelly thing's lol   :tu:

Good one. I wonder how the Kansbol and Garberg handle the issue of scent going into the handles seeing as one is marketed as a hunting knife and the other as a survival "do it all" knife. Should probably also include the Bushcraft Black, since for me general woods use does spring to mind fishing as well

I suspect the Kansbol would hold bad smells in it's rubberised handle.  I've not tried fishing in years, but if I did I'd take a different knife.

Well that makes sense. Even if we disregard fishing and focus solely on land dwelling animals, blood is blood and it can get nasty after a while (scent wise)
