Queen City Copperhead.
It's clamped to the KME at the moment, getting reprofiled and sharpened.
Then I think I'll go around and cut stuff even if it doesn't need cutting.  :D

Imperial '61 MIL-K again. Used the punch a lot in class to manually operate the pneumatic valves in the system.

Day 29

Almost done! I saved two of my big boys for last. This is a Case Trapper (not a mini trapper as I normally carry) in oak wood. You can make some cool handles out of bone, with different colors and types of jigging, but nothing beats wood in my book.

Also, I said yesterday that I'd been around Mackinac this last weekend. On Thursday night, walking around Mackinaw City in my MTO Anniversary shirt, I met a guy who hadn't heard of MTO but he noticed my shirt because he was really into Leatherman tools, knives, stuff like that. We got to talking and I said, you need to check out MTO, because you'd fit right in! I'm not sure if he's joined yet, but if you're lurking out there... come on in, the water's fine! Anyway, he tells me I need to check out this hardware store in Mackinaw City. So a couple days later I go into Coffman Hardware, and the left hand wall is floor to ceiling Case knives. I didn't snap any pictures because I didn't want to look too weird. They're a Case master dealer, and as my birthday is coming up in October, my wonderful wife allowed me to pick out my birthday gift. I was allowed to take a picture for you guys before it disappears until my birthday, I thought the folks in this thread might be interested.

It's a seahorse whittler in black G-10. The blades haven't been polished, they still have those beautiful marks from being ground. The main blade is really beefy, but comes to a fine point. The pen and coping blades are perfect for very detailed cuts. It's got two springs, the main blade is the width of both of those springs together. It feels so good in the hand, the frame just has a really nice shape to it. So if any of you guys are ever up around northern Michigan, see if you can take some time to stop in to Coffman Hardware. The people there were very nice, and like I said, they have an enormous selection of Case knives (and Benchmade and Leatherman too).
May it be as the Pattern has chosen.
