Traditional Challenge Day 3Queen Teardrop Jack w/D2 blades and Aged Honey Amber Stag Bone scales.OK. This is an odd one, IMO. I very rarely carry this one because I don't like the extremely polished D2 blades. I do love D2 for its edge-holding ability and anti-corrosive qualities--I would just rather have a less polished finish. It's also not put together well for Queen standards. There are gaps between layers and some wobble in the blades, and who knows what the deal is with the tang stamp being on the "pile" side....not to say that it isn't "purdy". Queen did a great job with the bone on these, and the deep grooves provide a great grip and feel.IMG_20160818_081440370.jpgIMG_20160818_084857744.jpg
#3Another Imperial Elec. Not wood scales like I thought but they are solid. Almost looks like Buffalo horn or something man made. Any ideas what material they would likely be ?(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)
Beautiful knife and nice looking sheath. Is it an original, did it came with the knife? I must make a similar one for my folders...

Some nice trads today guys!!!!A older Schrade USA 8OT today with a Trail Guide.(Image removed from quote.)The 8OT model was my first knife, given to me by Dad back in the mid 60's. It was lost in the fire but the 8OT pattern is loaded with wonderful memories for me.
Day 2 New day same knife, Northwoods IRJ. I think I'll use this challenge to get to know a few knives I haven't used in a while.I've fallen into a rut.
I cartied the RR Stockman at the office, and switched to this old Eskiltuna when I got home.Good olof carbon steel blade. Takes a wicked edge. (Image removed from quote.)
-snip-Nice Old Timer SG! Reminds me of my Dad--he always carried a stockman like that when I was a kid.
