T14 day 1: using my alox popular as a letter opener.
I am attending two different social events later today, and the popular is the quintessential minimalist gentleman's folder.

Day 1:

Minimal you say?

Lake Lucerne Blue Alox Bantam today (custom slip by Geoff Woods), a relatively recent acquisition that hasn't had much pocket time yet, but the challenge sounds like a good excuse to carry this for at least some of the challenge days!

Day 1

Black and red Pioneer.

Could have done with a Farmer this morning, but my Silky saw was probably better suited to the pruning I was doing.

It has begun  :ahhh

Day 1 starts with taking the Vagabond off my keychain...

...and placing it on the shelf with his bigger alox brothers, where it will stay for the next month,

And now on to a month of minimalism!

I'm starting the challenge with the Bantam I won from Sazabi's giveaway  :salute:

This will not be my entry for today but I wanted to make an inventory of my possible carries. There should be a manager somewhere as well as some stuff in pieces waiting to become my ultimate SAK but it seems I have quite a bit top choose from. Some are unlikely to be carried such as the Recruit, Tinker and Classic while others will see plenty of pocket time.

Day 1

Today will be Wenger Wood Commander. I'm out on a suit kind of event but I might well have to open some bottles. But first a few pulls at the Lansky Turnbox and a quick check to see if it shaves hairs. That spot is usually left bald as a result.

Carried my pioneer today just a boring silver one. Trying to upload a pic anyone know how to downsize it so I can upload it off of my iPad?

Used my dad's old Pioneer for one of the key uses of a knife: to open packages of more knives!!!

Man, I sure wish I still had the factory tip on this blade.

Finally got a photo to upload.

I really like the silver aloud models as they seem a little bit cheaper. I have a used red cadet on its wAy from a member on Edcf. Has a few marks which many have said just adds to character.

So apart from slicing my apple didn't see much use today

OK so I'll try this for fun, at least until tomorrow. One day at time, right?  :D

Starting with Ellie slicing some onions today.  :salute:

Hopefully there is a badge at the end of this, as I'm not entering the GAW, good luck all!  :tu:

Using the Executive's small blade to smooth sharp edges on my new water bottle. It's busy work while waiting in the truck for my daughter.
I just realized it's probably not a good idea to use flash photography in my car at night in a parking lot. Dho!

Day 1

Went to a friend's house to help with some brush clearing today, since there's a hurricane that will be close even if it misses us.  I used the saw actually quite a bit more than my Tinker but the Tinker was there for moral support.

Already day two here :

So, this morning I resharpened a "solo grafter" (brass liners, only one blade with a grafting tool shape blade, no idea of the real name)
... And the old Gourmet also went being reshaped and sharpened

PS: That's the Gourmet I will carry today, the grafter is more a tool than a SAK, and it mostly needed to meet the wet stone ASAP ;)
