Joseph Elliot & Sons penkinfe for me today.  I've likely talked about it before, but this one really is a cut above the average quality of vintage penknives.  The steel looks and feels excellent (and holds a very fine edge).  The pull on both blades is well weighted and has a positive snap.  http://www.sheffieldcutlerymap.org.uk/location/joseph-elliot-sons-ltd/

Gareth what is the closed length of this penknife?

It's bigger than the average penknife at 3 5/8". :)
