Thanks, gents!
I couldn't agree more!

Though I don't carry them often, larger toothpicks are among my favorite traditional patterns.

I've only got a tiny Toothpick by RR that, I must admit, I'm pretty ambivalent towards.  On the other hand a large Toothpick always makes me think of Laguiole knives, and those I like very much.  :tu:

I'm not wild about the two bladed, micarta one, but the small Barlow and and the new single bladed one are both very pleasing.

Fine cutlery gents.  I am not sure what I'll carry today .  I am leaning towards a SodBuster or Barlow.  Hmm................

Both it is.

Powr-Kraft Barlow.  Love this main blade shape.  Looks like a broke back Seax which is very appealing.

Case Sod Buster in yellow is a classic.

Afternoon folkes!  A raining day here in Indiana, better than snow!

Mail call delivered two packages.

1. - A set of two knives from Buck, a Canoe and a Solo, both with Honey Delrin, NOS in sealed packaging causing a delima for me, to open or not?
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

2. - A Buck Canoe with Blue Bone scales, posed with the red canoe that arrived Wednesday.
It is a handle material not seen in wilds prior to this sighting.

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Do what you want of course, but if it were me I'd be straight in to the packaging and carrying that canoe in a heart-beat.  :D

Thank you Gareth. I've been in a Sheffield mood lately. Got this Lockwood Brothers Sheepfoot knife coming in tomorrow. Provided USPS doesn't drop the ball.  Sellers pic.

@ Gareth and Aloha - Yes I will most likely open the packaging in the near future.
The knives are 2019 date stamped, not the plus sign I first saw which would be 1991. 🤪 duh!

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I have been very impressed with the BLUE DYED BONE scales on the Canoe that arrived the same time.  I was expecting blue wood, a am bd thought the listing was incorrect.

It is in great condition, and appears never to have been used.

The Red dyed was in very neglected condition as it may have sat in a tool tray of a tool box and never used.

Yes, I have been lucky finding some different Canoes.  For some reason the Buck models tug at my heart as well as the Rough Riders made before the ‘y’ was adopted.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Good Monday morning to AWL!

Survived a Thanksgiving and Black Friday Weekend! :woohoo:

Today was up early to help oldest son with his youngest son till he returned from his fire duty shift this morning.
I grabbed my Blue Tribal as I head out the door.  On return home I found a package on front porch, from SMKW, I forgot what I ordered last week, but knew shipping info did get emailed until late Friday night, and reviewing tracking FedEx delivered Sunday about 12:30?  That is service…

My Blue Canoe will do honors snd will ride the picket today.
