Love the look and quality of the traditionals. Considering buying one to celebrate an upcoming significant b'day. I have nothing with bone scales so far, though I enjoy the look. It will be be an indoor/outdoor user. Any concerns about bone durability, or go Delrin again?

The bone on these really is nice.     :like:     It reminds me of Winterbottom Bone and Burnt Stag.

I think bone will hold up fine . These are around 70 years old and still going strong   :tu:

Nobody! I guess these are for show.

It sometimes takes a while for use to make up an answer.  ;)
Knives are made to be used.
Delrin will be more durable but bone will last as long as the knife.
As a general user I like bone or wood. If I wanted a knife to keep in a tool box with other tools then delrin is the choice.

Makes sense. Will be in my pocket until needed for indoor food prep or outdoor small-gaming. Caught some suggestions elsewhere that the extra pressure on the center pin can sometimes contribute to a crack. My main concern. I see lots of bone here without cracks.
Regarding lifetime warranties, wonder if such an issue gets covered? Not that a careful drop of super glue can't remedy things.

Many traditionals will have their bone covers jigged and colored, but I prefer them white and smooth.

Left to right Böker 125th anniversary Trapper (ivory micarta), Böker Fellow (smooth bone), Hartkopf (ivory). The micarta covers look very much like the real thing.

Super glue and gorilla tape fixes everything.
The cracks from the pin being to tight usually came that way out of the box new.
If it's not cracked out of the box I don't think you will have a problem.

I looked at the pic before reading and thought the micarta was bone.
