Sorry dudes, my budget is Borg-proof..........one average GEC costs more than my car installment, 7%-10% of my salary before deductions.

Don't have to own a GEC to be one of us. There are plenty of great old knives out there available for a fraction of a GEC.

I just got this old Ulster for $15     :o

Agreed, I remember when i first discovered ebay (skiving at work), it was just jam-packed with pocket knives, multitools of every kind and lots of other cool stuff... not anymore - not here in the uk anyway!

Edit: You can still pick up old timer type ones though at flea markets and antique shops... and quite cheaply too as there isn't (!) a great demand for them.

The bay used to have lots of inexpensive ethnographic stuff years ago as well, which I love, they don't now, not in the same way anyway, probably for ethical reasons. They used to have tons of things like Fijian and Tongan clubs, Zulu spears, knobkerrys, Sepik river stuff....................
