Haven't really posted many of my watch pictures, so this might get ugly in time.  I have too many watches (just ask my wife).  Definitely have an affection for Christopher Ward, a company out of England that makes very high quality watches at good price points.  Not cheap by any stretch, but the quality is very high.

The one pictured below is a Twelve Ti.  Not surprisingly it is titanium case and bracelet as well.  Picked it up from one of their clearance sales (January/July) for 40% off.  The dial is rather amazing and I've yet to see a picture do it justice, mine or anyone else.  It's quite a dark green but changes very distinctly with the angle and the lighting.

This is not my first Titanium watch (another CW watch was) and I'm a little blown away at how light they are.  A watch isn't really all that heavy, but compared to one of the watches I own this thing feels like a feather.

I've been doing the G Shock thing for a day or two. Claimed back my G100 from my better half to see if I can get along with it any better.

I'm going to be doing a full post/review in the very near future. But here's a spoiler alert. It's a curate's egg. I'm enjoying mine  time around, but unless it's dirt cheap, I wouldn't recommend it.

Curate's egg isn't an American idiom.  I had to look it up.  Even the term curate isn't a common one.  Wiki-wackie says it means, "Partly good, and partly bad.  Likely mostly bad."
Looking forward to the review.  I am also one of the few evidently that like the resin straps on CASIO watches.  I'm remembering the expansion bands of years gone by that left an embossed pattern on your arm when you took it off.  That sort of band never shifted around because it became partially embedded in the flesh.  Best wishes.  Gary

I dont think this is the original version of the cartoon from Punch, but yeah, I do like the idea.

The thing I found with the resin straps on the MRW-200H was I sweated a lot under it. On the G it was just bulky. But then again, I've pretty slender wrists. I've seen a lot of complaints of the resin straps splitting or perishing.  Have you had any experience of this?

It must have been two weeks ago or maybe three that the resin strap partially failed on my ancient CASIO HD600.  I noticed that one strap was loose and I pulled on it a little.  It came partially loose.  I thought the spring pin had failed, so I pulled hard enough to rip the strap off.  If I knew then what I know now, I would have just daubed some adhesive on the split where the strap connected to the spring pin and forgot about it.  That was the original strap and I think I have had the watch over 20 years.  Might be 25?
I rarely wear a watch except when I drive somewhere.  If I am doing something around the house, I never wear one.  Some folks complain that the resin straps make their arms break out or itch.  I never had a problem.  I only replaced the battery once in the time I owned it.  When I replaced it, the time function along with the day/date still worked.  The LED had quit and the watch couldn't be set at that point.  I was going to buy a new watch, but moderator zoidberg here on MTo said I should buy a battery whether or not I chose to buy another watch.  He was right.  The watch still works fine and sets correctly.  The LED is very weak.  I wore it with a makeshift band yesterday.  Best wishes.  Gary

It didn't owe you any Gary! Still , I'm pleased you got it up and running again. 20 years of ownership and service gives a watch its own level of cool. I'm sure you'll find a more permanent solution for a new band.

If I remember right, the Casio calculator watch my grandfather gave me had such a thing. My Timex President has one. Being sized for aa wrist that's smaller than mine doesn't help in the least.

Time for another watch.  I mentioned in my above post that another Christopher Ward watch was my first Titanium watch.  This one is the C63 Sealander Elite and it is crazy light to wear.  It's the first (of three) CW watches I own and I really enjoy all three.  Has a really funky push in crown that is quite uncommon.  I don't wear my watch close enough to my hand usually for the crown to bother me, but it does impact some folks apparently.

Oh, missed my radar but I'm interested. I looked for a sturdy watch with large digits for my cycling and settled for a Lorus a year ago but this one, I think I might like it more!
