No no no... No Cold Steel or Spidey. You want a Seki-made SOG  :tu:

Aren't you looking for a serrated blade? Look at this sexy beast.

I could recommend Cold 4 to anyone.
A decent size blade but super thin and light weight, you will forget there is a 3.5" blade in pocket until you pull it out.
It is simple and elegant, fine choice for any occasions.
Three different blade shapes to choose from to suit your needs.
Tactical, survival, utility or dress knife, Cold 4 can be all.

Cold 4 = BEAST
Big but not cumbersome
Elegant but not fancy
Advanced material but not expensive
Simple but not crude
Tough but not over built
How's code 4 comparing to recon1?
I don't have a lot folders but really wanna get some nice folders in 2017.

Not sure if code 4 is too big for me as i have a CRKT amicus and it is a bit too chunky on my relatively small hand. I am looking for a relatively slimmer folder.  Code 4 seems longer than amicus but slimmer while recon1 looks cooler  :like:
...  I am still struggling...  Or maybe my hand is just too small for folder that size...  Maybe I should get a mini recon instead....

While the two have same construction like most CS folders, they are for different purpose.
Code 4 is an Elegant edc folder. 3.5" blade is just right for many tasks yet you will not feel it in pocket because it is so slim. I have very small hands but all CS folders fit me fine except hold out series.

Also, the scales are vastly different. The Recon 1's G10 scales are aggressive (I actually sanded mine down a little). The aluminum scales on the Code 4 are, well, aluminum. So I think the Recon 1 is probably a better workhorse of a knife if you use a knife a lot outdoors and are worried about sweaty grip. But I agree with Kampfer. The Code 4 is a great EDC knife with its slimmer design.

My Pocket Bushman. Big, but not too big, and not too expensive. Legal under Dutch law.

I don't know if Poncho is weakening any, but I am certainly getting the urge for a new CS knife!

Thanks for the recommendation and I really enjoy it. It's large but slim,  mighty but friendly-look, smooth but not slippery, high end steel with low end price. This is my first CS and my only grip is the super stiff tri-ad lock but it means secure so it's ok.

And, I feel a little bit gritty when opening the blade, is it normal? Or shall I do something? This is my first time dealing with tri-ad lock...

Agree, the lock will get smoother as time goes by.
Safety tip, when I unlock the Tri-Ad lock, I always place index finger at the front end of finger choil, press the lock bar and let the blade drop and stopped by the index finger.
If is deep cleaning is needed, the knife is easy to take apart, just don't over tight the screws.

Thanks again Kampfer for your tips on closing the blade. It makes a lot easier.
