Well, I'll be.... not only do you guys know multis, you know people on other forums too :)  So I guess it's taboo to use others avatars even from other forums huh? He has a cool looking one then and Dunc, yours isn't bad at all, I just thought that pipedreams fit you also :)

No reason not to use the same avatar that someone else has, especially on another forum.

When SOSAK was new, many of the founding members had a SOSAK logo as their avatar.  It was kind of confusing as no one really knew who was saying what, but it was kind of cool too!

I may look for a FlipGrip.  I'm sure it's badly made, but it's intriguing.

The plier portion of the Flip-Grip is pretty decent quality. Not too bad at all really. But where the design comes up short (literally) is in the folding blades. There isn't much room in the handles, so the knife and file and other blades have to be uncommonly short.

You guys are right on the money on the FlipGrip.  I got it in this afternoon.  The plers are good quality, but the blades are very short & a little difficult to deploy.  The lock is like the original Supertool - have to open another tool to disengage.  The pictures Doug posted show as much as any I would post.  I will post the new driver here though, & one of the locking mechanism that locks the spring on the pliers.

I was thinking that the older model was a ratcheting driver.  I guess not?

The shaft looks better than being mounted directly in the handle.  It's too bad the blades aren't better.  they don't look like they're part of the same tool with those nice plier heads.

Hehe, by the way, even though I don't care much for the Nautilus, I do get a kick out of Gerber's "Fend For Yourself" ad campaign!  :D

Oh yah!! Great Prime, thanks!

I recall seeing the Charge Deer one before, but not the Wave Mower one or either of the knife ones. Cool!

I'll put them up on the Wiki for reference. Do you happen to have the dates from the magazines they were in?
