UMBRELLA!

Not sure where to put this, but I'm sick and tired of umbrellas that flip inside out due to a cool spring breeze.

I like compact sizes as I keep one in my backpack, but a full size would be fine too, as long as it can actually put up with some wind...
And I use an umbrella often to protect the laptop on my back. And wearing a poncho is overkill at most times. :D

So what are your suggestions? Do they make titanium-framed umbrellas? Anyone else have this silly problem?!
Got those frog legs.

Here you go:

Available here.

It has this marketing slogan in the listing:

"You'll only feel daft until it rains,

then smug and only slightly daft".

I used to come here a lot.

I bought a non-folding old school umbrella at a yard sale, you know those with long metal chrome pointy tip, sturdy as hell, doesn't even move in wind that used to flip my folding umbrellas inside out.

Yes. You can have one without the model.

Have you tried one of the ones with the vents in them?  Like this:

I like that style of umbrella, used to carry that type when I was in college it doubles as a walking stick and a defence weapon if you need it. Heard about someone puncturing a cheek with it in a fraternity war in campus.

The vents are to allow the wind to pass through, but not the rain.  Take a look here:

Hrmm... I'm liking the look of the metro, and it's around $32 for me. Does any other company produce nice umbrellas like this?

Fifty-five mph in a wind tunnel sounds quite impressive. :D

EDIT: I could go for the classic too. =o

I'm all for covert security guards and great ninja weaponry, but If I'm the president, I want my boys deck out with automatic weaponry and ballistic armour, not friggen umbrellas*.

*Maybe one of them can carry an umbrella, in case the Russians send their pigeons against us like back in '64.
