Thanks dude - it is a weird blade shape isn't it? Wonder why they chose that particular flavour.

It looks and feels much better now. That Extreme Ratio looks handy - any chance of a pic of it closed some time please?  :cheers:

WestMarine/Sog Sailing Tool.
I am quite sure it is the only plier based multi with a proper marlin spike included. There was the CRKT bivy who sported a tiny one and various multis have a c-spike but this the only one with a true marlin spike like those found on folders.

The ER was a gift from my family for my 40yrs birthday. It has a shackle slot as you can see and comes along with that “tactical” looking lanyard. It has the ER security lock, the red tab you see, and using the screws you can adjust the opening friction.

Sure it looks better now! Though even on a practical level i cant stand rigging knives (or any kind of knife carried on a boat) with speary or aggressive tips. Sirs, that almost drives me mad when i have crew mates with those kind of knives around. I can see injuries coming.

Thanks for the pics - it looks great - I was wondering how the pronounced curve of the spike would translate to the scales, but they just eat it up! Looks extremely solid.  :tu:

To be honest even the ER modified tanto is quite strange for a riggers. But in some way i feel that a tanto can still be controlled better than others.
