The problem with this challenge has been all your pics of very beautiful pocket knives.  Like a crow, I'm attracted to shiny things, especially with colorful scale material.   :o

Like half of my traditional folders are due to Dean51 challenges.   :assimilate:

Nice collection  :like:

See you at next year’s challenge.

Day 30

I am ending this challenge the way I started it with my mighty Case Peanut. It did a stellar job this month handling everything that came its way. I really enjoyed getting reacquainted with it since it has been so many years ago that I daily carried it.

Quick shout out to Steve for hosting. Thank you so much. Thanks guys, for having me along. I don’t have very many traditional knives but I did enjoy seeing the variety you all posted.

JonesE

I’ll miss seeing this knife - I love the handle color.   I may need to go shopping

Day 30

I had a lot of fun this challenge, as always, and my lightweight theme made it even more fun.  I hope my inexpensive lightweight knives were not too boring for all of you that have really nice knife collections.

For my last lightweight knife, I’m going to go with the largest I can find that doesn’t go over the weight of my Ambassador.  That knife is my Buck 424 Bucklite.  It weighs in at 1.2 ounces, the same as the Ambassador, but it is substantially larger.  So far, it feels ok in the pocket of my slacks, and having a larger blade feels satisfying.

Thanks to Steve for running this challenge every year, and thank you to all that participated and tempted me to buy new knives.  Thanks also to Dean51 - I never knew him, but his legacy through this challenge has influenced my love for traditional folders significantly  :salute:

I’m posting late here because this purchase was the result of this challenge.  The last thing I need is another Saunter, but when LC mentioned them being on sale, I couldn’t resist buying more.  Buck is selling them for $67, and they’re a steal at that price.  They’re discontinued, so I highly recommend picking one or two up.  :tu:

Very nice! 🥳

The green Micarta (top) joined my other two, and since a BLACK MICARTA too!

So for I have resisted the clip points🫣

I refer the SAUNTER as my modern CANOEs!😉
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Oh, I forgot to mention that I also paid a premium price on a certain website to get that July 2024 Saunter because of you   :assimilate:

When it arrives, share a picture !

With that version, no two are identical, which I think upset some folk.

That is very nice!

Good balance of colors, more red than any samples I had seen!

You did well!

Those clip point Saunters sure look nice though, don't they?  :pok:

And at $67 each, they won't last for long, then they're gone forever.  :pok:

Yes they do!   Yet, I have a very nice assortment of 112s with clip point blades, with one MICARTA Slim Select PRO as a favorite.   And, from experience a clip point is a safer blade to use it it is locking or a fix blade.

So far I am winning my internal conflict at saying NO CP!
