This didn't work out as well as I thought it would but I think it's still pretty sweet.

You're gonna love it, and the 154CM is easy to sharpen on some ceramic rods, and holds a very scary edge.

I think so.  They can be had fairly cheaply, but not $8 cheaply.

Do bear in mind that it has a 3.5" blade.  Not sure if that effects legality or anything with you.

It won't be legal for EDC, but no problem with owning it..  :)

AHB,

A year or so ago I was interested in getting one.  Lee Valley Tools carries one that's within an hour of me.
They are a really cool little edc/picnic knife.  Apparently though you have to be careful when putting the
blade back in the handle as the edge does in most cases make contact with metal.  Some of the guys on
blade forums have stuffed some sort of stripping into the bottom of the handle to prevent damage to the
blade and it seems to work.

I have a modded #8 and a standard #12, both are great knives but I rarely use them anymore.  I also have a nice Laguiole and it's a lovely pocket knife.  Sean's right though, you have to be careful putting the blade away as they do strike the backspring.  You also have to be a bit careful about buying Laguiole's, there used to be a good number of Chinese copies kicking about that were rubbish (I have one of those as well ::)).  There are also dozens of French makers that produce to varying levels of quality, none are rubbish and some are excellent but you'll pay a good bit more than $20 for any of them in my (limited) experience.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

This isn't all of my folders, just the Spydercos.  Only thing left out is my Benchmade Orange Grip and my Kershaw Vapor.

Its weird...It feels a lot heavier than it looks.  But I like it alright.  Its a good all purpose knife, that feels really good in the hand.

That is a very nice assortment of Spydie's.  It's good to have size variety.  Like those Crickets.  :)
