My kiddo and I went on a fishing expedition on a small wild river near our cottage this week. We used our trusty Deluxe Tinker to cut bait and crimp sinkers:

We caught numerous largemouth and smallmouth bass, and released them all back into the wild.

The panfish we kept, and had a fish fry that night.

When it came time to clean the fish, however, we couldn't find our cabin's scaler and I hadn't brought a Fisherman/Angler, so we improvised. It turns out that the saw on a Farmer makes a dandy fish scaler when handled with care!

I hope you enjoyed this little slice of life from northern Michigan!
