Today I had occasion to be at the air base. There is a small air museum with a number of fine and unusual planes on display. I was particularly drawn to this ol' B-25. The J-variant was used as a strafing-bomber. With eight (8!) .50 cal machine guns, I can imagine it could wreak some havoc.

Naturally the Huntsman had to photobomb the shot......

It's truly humbling to stand in front of one of these small (yes, small) and frail planes and realize that some mighty brave men climbed up into these aircraft to resist the forces of tyranny.

More great pics there Nix. Of WW2 American bombers I do like the B25 and absolutely agree that the crews deserve our respect for their bravery and resilience. I'm more of a Lanc fan though (you can't beat a good Merlin engine or four!) . Reminds me I must watch Catch 22 again.

Moved some furniture, and some shelves and photos attached to the wall. Scissors opened my probiotic and some packages. Large blade cut up a box to make a shim level out my worn-out 40-year old desk (unlike the one this computer is on, which is heavy, solid cherry from the 1950s, this particular desk was a cheapo my dad had in grade school). Can opener turned several Phillips screws. Mini screwdriver repaired the display cube for a model car. Hook helped me zip up my parka, by grabbing the bottom zipper so that I could pull the regular zipper up.
