The Ultimate Drummers Thread

Welcome to the land of percussion
I didn’t know if anybody else is in to drumming or any sort of other percussion, but I figured that I would make a thread about showing off drum kits, talking about gear, music, or anything else related
I have experience in concert percussion, but my main thing is drumset. At the house right now is a basic 5 piece PDP kit I got for cheap, just recently put new heads on the toms. I also play a lot on a nice Mapex kit that is shared with some others for playing small gigs.
I’ll post pics of my kit later
And by the way, what sticks do you like?
I’m a Vic Firth guy, rocking 5B’s at the moment.

Only thing I can offer up is a picture of a drum set I lettered years ago for my brother-in-law's younger brother. Ron was the drummer for the Joe Perry Project when he sp;it from Aerosmith and formed his own band. The drums were custom made by Eames(pronounced "AMES") in Saugus Massachusetts. They had produced a drum set for Buddy Rich many years ago and Ron had been on tour with Buddy prior to his joining JPP. I had lettered a drum head for Buddy back then but unfortunately don't have a picture of that.

I have considered getting a set of electronic drum pads from time to time so I could learn without annoying everyone around me. In the end I have never bothered as i don't really need another hobby and I already have a list of musical instruments that I play badly, like guitar, bass and keyboard.
I see no reason to torture another instrument.

Fact: (incomplete) drum kits, combined with several meters of plastic conduit, can also be used to prop up pieces of ceiling trim until the glue dries
