Gentelmen, you have my attention. I live in town now days so a 30 day challenge will be more than difficult. I will consider it as this developes. No promises.    :popcorn:     If i carry a 12 1/2" double bit Puget sound axe around for 30 days it might scare the natives.    :D

I went to a couple o pawn shops and an 'antiques' store today, but I didn't find the axe of my dreams.

I was tempted by an old hatchet, but the 'toe' had been rounded over more than I would have liked.

So I'll keep looking. I wish we had some Scottish middens around here.......

I'd like it if you would restore the terms 'heel' and 'toe' to the anatomy picture. Those are good terms. They help us talk about the axe bit in a detailed way.

I do have some smaller axes to use. Got a couple double bit saddle axe heads that need to be hung. Which would add some flavor should I decide to join you. I'm getting closer to that decision.
