I've read that earlier offering from GEC tends to have stronger pull, but sure am glad to find this one has the pull that I like, just a tad bit stronger than a SAK.  I got the Artisan Coutelier knife from evil bay, but my googlefu couldn't find more details for me.  I think Opinel does have collaboration with different makers/organization over the years, and this one maybe the one of those collab.  Most of the Opinel I owned usually have very stiff joint, but this one is super smooth.
