Doesn't look like Case offers a USAF commemorative knife...... Maybe the USAF is too young a service for the guys at Case to realize that the USAF is a current branch of the military services..... :dunno:

I tell you what Matty, if we were stranded on a lifeboat in the middle of the Pacific, no hope of rescue - you with the your little saw and me with this knife, I'd be hard pressed to know who'd finish eating each other first.  :dunno:

Maybe Case still thinks the Air Force is part of the Army like the Marines with the Navy.  But that explanation doesn't really work because they have a few USMC knives.

Day 17

GEC48 trapper with a Fiction folder Svord...I don't why but I always prefer my (modern) folders in the range of 4 inch+, but am totally fine with regular 91mm SAK at 3.5inch, but for traditional, I still think the 3.5-4in could be the sweet spot.  I think maybe that has something to do Traditionals usually come with smaller pivots and straighter handles?

(Image removed from quote.)

Nice stag on that 48.            :like:

Vintage Fuzz Day 17 - Fuzzy Lunch

The #42 beautifully sliced up some pork yesterday and I'll be using again to cut up some more later. However, it was absolutely píss poor today at cutting up some cheddar cheese - it must be something to do with the blade geometry I guess, but I just felt a noticeable amount of resistance.

(Image removed from quote.)

The cheese, by the way, was for my latest gastronomic phenomenon - cheddar, chorizo and piccalilli sandwiches! They sound absolutely disgusting, but are in fact quite delicious... it's all down to the mayonnaise you see - it blends and binds it all together.  :2tu:

(Image removed from quote.)

I am... a genius.

Looks like the 42 handeled every thing rather knicely.    :like:
