Itsy Bitsy Spydercos
on: December 15, 2008, 09:10:16 PM
With the recent Ladybug and tiny folder threads, I decided to get out my small collection of small Spydies and show them off a bit:

Kinda funny that the Mini Dyad looks HUGE in this pic, when it's in reality only 3 inches (8cm) long when closed!

One of these days I am going to get the bigger brother to this, the full sized Spyderco Police model in titanium, but for now, I don't have that kind of money to waste on a knife so I'll have to make do with this tiny Police tie clip!

I bought it a few years ago, I think on KF... I actually wanted to get the pendant:

I still want to get one one of these days, but the tie clips are rarer than hen's teeth so I grabbed it when I had the chance.  It even comes in a jewelry box.  Now all I need is a job where I wear a tie... :P

I doubt I would have it long anyway, wearing a dangerous weapon as a fashion accessory!

Thanks for the pics Def.  I hadn't seen the tie clip or pendant before.  Can you still open it one handed?
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Yes, but you have to be very careful, as the whole thing is about the length of your thumb!  Still, it is fully functional, lock, premium steel and all.

For the uninitiated then, it's Mini Dyad, Ladybug and Police Tie Clip from top to bottom?

I want all of them.
I used to come here a lot.

Yup, that's them.

Remember how small these are though...  the Mini Dyad might look big but it's really not!

Here's the Ladybug next to a Classic and Esquire for comparison, in case you missed it from the other thread!  :D
