kamakiri Day 19:

Changing of the guard:

Missed having the small blade today with the Mech Jr.  :-[ Only use was for mail call duty...opened up another 4 layer 84mm that might show up later in the Disco Challenge.  :mail: This is slated to be the user copy of one of my favorites.

I couldn't find my other soldier for the pic...the one above is the user copy that sits on my desk.  :ahhh :dunno:

I'm sure I'll figure it out after tomorrow.

As much as I have a lot of respect and admiration for the original soldier, I really do think the alox soldier is a great iteration and has a lot of class!

Day 19, awl in used in its "proper" purpose.

Wondering If I should switch up knives, but for the medium size I've just knives that have a bit too thin a toolset for comfort, and don't really feel recent common Wengers are that interesting. Same for my common Slide-locks.

I think I'll feature some of them anyway if the lot I bought doesn't arrive soon. And now I just realizes the seller may have inadvertently sent them in a package coming with letter mail, which may be months late due to a postal strike.

More lovely knives and uses!

Day 19

Nothing exciting, but as it’s a bit on the cold side here today (1-4°C), I decided to supplement my lunchtime sandwich with a cuppa soup - the scissors on the Master Craftsman/Astronaut did the honours!

Day 19

I picked the Wenger Pocket Tool Chest for today, and I discovered that it has a superb bottle opener for its size. Popped the cap off in one go with ease. It's a very nice little SAK I think I might stick with it for a day or two.

Day 20

Wenger Manager, this is one of the first Wenger I got when I first started collecting vintage SAKs.  I found this in a corner of an old bookstore, and found the telescoping pointer fascinating.

What interesting is that this model with the corkscrew is called Manager, while the one with the phillips screw driver is called the Director.  Does it mean it is more fun to be a Manager than a Director? :drink: :D

Nice use! :tu:   Talking about the Awl, I just recently watch a youtube video by Felix Immler about how best to use the awl, and it was rather informative.
