Just read this on the interwebs " Bluegrass Cutlery out of Southern Ohio was able to buy nearly all machines/equipment/inventory from the Queen bankruptcy auction, and also acquired the S&M trademark, and that the factory should be up and running, making traditional knives again very soon. The first release S&M knives should be available in 2020 some time. I think this is great and exciting! The historic US company is still US located, and the old machines will be churning out knives once again! "
Bluegrass - were they the ones that made the really nice Winchester traditionals a while back?
I was about to ask who are Bluegrass but if they have experience, I'd be happy to see what they come up with. I just hope that S&M come back soon with all the quality which they were missing in the Queen days. I wonder what steel they'll use? The Queen equipment was set up for harder steels, here's to hoping for something better than 1095.
Good news! It will interesting to see how this all turns out.
