Two of my finer modern offerings. I typically can just afford Delrin/CV models (which honestly, I see nothing wrong with; Tru-Sharp is 420HC, but not as good as Buck's, but CV is modified 1085, which is tough and easy to sharpen); but have been able to find some deals. Nearly all of my Cases are Delrin, two are bone (two Stockmen), two are wood (Mako, 65 Folding Hunter). Three or four are Caliber models with Zytel handles.

The Carhartt Mini Trapper is from 2014, and it took me four years to get. Our local Magic Mart put them out for Christmas of that year at $60 each. They didn't sell well. A year or two later, they were marked down to $40. Same goes there. The third or fourth generation owner of the Magic Mart chain retired in his 90s, and since there were no buyers for the struggling chain (stores are in rural areas with aging, declining populations and an average income of $25,000-30000; and was already bleeding cash), decided to close the dozen or so stores they had summer of 2018. It was on sale for $30. No other Cases were even there, despite this one being higher-end than some of the cheap models they had.   To this date, I hate losing the Magic Mart chain. They had a decent, and fairly up-to-date diecast selection, and I didn't have to go in Walmart to get them (Kmart went out in 2015).

The Jumbo Stockman is from 2017, part of an Earth Brown series. It came from Shepherd Hills Cutlery last month, marked down to $40 from an $90 MSRP.

Great pair Cody and at a great price.

I really like that serrated blade on your Stockman,

The serrated blade was part of the reason why I chose that one. It was the same price (a little cheaper I think) than the Yellow Delrin CV version, and for work, I like a serrated blade. Case rarely does those. Most I see are on the Halloween knives. This whole "Earth Brown" series seemed to have them; which is the first time I've seen them outside of a Halloween edition; or an SFO.

I like the military tribute Case knives, but i think the canoe is the best

I think I’m going to do Case U.S. Navy tribute knives as a theme for the traditional challenge.

Its sure is some nice Stag.

I went way out on a limb to buy that knife.I usually like to tell members what I paid for a particular knife,as a way of documenting prices and leaving a legacy of value,at that particular time.I have to admit I paid a lot for this one,as it is one of the rarest of the Case Trapper line.

Happy 4th of July!!!

I recently decided to start buying some CASE knives, and love 'em.  My last four knife purchases here which seem fitting for today.  Case chestnut bone copperlock, old red bone stockman (with spey blade), and a blue bone Rogers corn cob stockman with pen blade.  (That blue one is a perfect knife for carry to a formal setting - small, and the silver and blue are as classy as a cuff link!).  When I bought the blue stockman, they also had a Buck 110 with the bolsters stained badly with someone's finger prints (No idea what they had on their fingers when they held it, but it really did go into the brass a little).  They couldn't clean it off, so they gave me a discount.  After I returned home, a little bit of Brasso and a good bit of elbow grease and she looks brand new.   My next two knives are going to be a Tractor Supply exclusive Stockman with olive stained bone scales, and hopefully a Buck 112 in S30V.

Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday!!

Great selection and appropriate for the day.  The Buck 112 sound like a nice addition too.

I like the bone, as well as the laser etching that knife received.   In a lot of ways, smooth bone captures the look a lot better than jigged.

This is a 2006 Boy Scouts of America 63087 Medium Stockman I got for my birthday in November of 2007, not long after I'd joined the Boy Scouts. It was my only BSA-branded knife for many years, and was my uniform carry.
