Agreed, Nomad. At some point customization goes a bit too far and yields little improvement.

I game on an OEM Microsoft optical mouse and ergonomic keyboard...
Got those frog legs.

I have a logitech optical mouse (I tried to buy a ball mouse but they wouldn't let me. fricken shop assistant PITAs.

My unbranded "STANDARD KEYBOARD FOR HOME OR OFFICE USE" died and has been replaced with my even more unbranded keyboard (this one doesn't even say its a keyboard, it merely declares compliance with part 15 of the FCC rules) which is likely to face impending failure due to being hurled at a wall.

these two items are plugged into (both having cables) my unbranded AMD Athon XP 2700.

Also plugged in is my DELL E771p monitor

so shove that in your "custom weighted gaming mouse" and...load it.

I have a Logitech G15 (v2) that I picked up while I was in Canada, and I'm rather happy with it, I even managed to get the screen to do some stuff in linux like display now playing info for my mp3 player etc... it goes nicely with my Logitech MX Laser mouse (the first generation of their laser mouse lineup)

I'm a big fan of logitech stuff... the g15 replaced a 6 year old Logitech wireless internet keyboard... that didn't really have any problems, I just wanted a backlit usb keyboard instead of the wireless (which was rather pointless now, but not when I bought it in the UK to use with my PCTV setup)
The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.

If you play games like Quake, and want any chance of competing at any level above "total noob", then these things really make a difference.

Wireless for example is a no-no - simply not quick enough.

I used to come here a lot.

I already have a very nice keyboard (Saitek Eclipse II) and a nice mouse (A4Tech X7) but the keyboard throws a wobbly sometimes ::) and the mouse was cheap so i don't expect it to last very long and i haven't actually got a spare usb mouse ::) Got more than my share of graphics cards, cpu's and ram....but no spare mice :D

I tried this last year, but didn't like the results I got with glow paint, so I removed it.  I thought I'd give it another try, this time with a little glow-in-the-dark powder and epoxy, for a thicker mix, and applied to the holes on my SOG S44 with a toothpick.

I use all of my tools. I don't believe that any tool is worth keeping as a safe queen. When and if I get a first run Leatherman or a riveted Leatherman I may not use those too often.  :D

GG - any chance of a wider shot of the toolbox? Looks similar to mine, but I do like the idea of the opening lid on top.
