Day 5 - Was out to fetch sandwich fixin's at Winco, then ran across this Stella Artois. So, why not indulge in the Spirit, or is that Spritis? Sandwich time And... the beer
Day 1 - Became a proud owner of a Victorinox Spirit X, and what better way to learn to use the tool than a 30 day challenge? Today, got the rice cooker going. Added some frozen hot beef sausages to the rice and veggies. (Image removed from quote.) (Image removed from quote.) Still cooking, so no photos of that. Don't want to start sending people to the kitchen.
Day 3Started a new wood project, so the Spirit got used quite a bit. Did not take a picture of everything, or I wouldn't get stuff done. Opened packages, cut a zip tie, tightened and replaced a saw blade, and so on.
Day 4Paint can opening duty and a beauty shot
Just got my first Spirit today. Already on Disco SAK challenge and too late anyway...but will follow along to see usage. LM MT fanBoy, but known to stray
Grats! Well, start from today and work till the 30 days are over. No need to lurk. Am liking SirVicaLot's photos too. The more the merrier, I say! So join in! For the record, I do miss the texture titanium scales as they felt better in-hand. Victorinox could add titanium scales to their Spirit tools, and add replaceable wire cutters too maybe. This chrome finish is different, yet titanium scales from the Charge TTi felt reassuring in the hands. Wonder if anyone has thought of making thin titanium or other gripping material (like found on handguns) with adhesive backing? I most assuredly would buy something to make the handles grippier in the hands - if was not too thick.
Day 7 - Taking the Thorogood 1957 boots off after a long day. Double knot them to take up extra lace space, but are a dickens to untie at times. So use the Spirit's long flat file to get through the knot and help me untie them. Do this about every night, so the tool is getting lost of use.
If you want better grip, have you tried Gear Gripz? It is stickers that provide textured grip but is easily removable. I have used it on a knife handle before.(Image removed from quote.)
Thats an interesting use! Is it rubber or like the sandpaper you lay on surfaces so you don’t slip?
Day 5The Spirit helped to replace the battery of the garage door opener. Scissors, screwdriver and pliers all in use
It is a form off textured rubber. It is nice because it stays in place rather well but then when you want to remove it, it doesn’t usually leave a residue.
Clever idea, if it just didn’t look like the knife had a infectious disease...
