Day 0

Decided to go with this one tomorrow on opening day. It is from the same time frame and has about the same amount of wear as my first Buck 110. I wore that Buck for years till the locking lug broke off the back spring. I remember when I first saw that knife in a display case in the sporting section of a store. I thought it was the most beautiful knife I'd ever seen. I saved up my hay hauling money and bought it. That would have been in 74 I was 18 back then. The rest they say is history.      :D

Day 0 -  :woohoo:
Had to search for my 110 since cleaning out space.

Found it!!!
The Buck 110 used for the 1st Fools of April challenge.

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Good of you to poke your head.

I hope family is all good, healthy and reasonably sane during this difficult world event.

The family and yours truly are doing well all things considered, thanks for asking.

We're very strict in following the quarantine rules, I've only been out once for a short hike in the neighbourhood in the last 4 weeks, and thank god we have a, be it small, garden to enjoy some of the first sunny days this year.

We handle the social isolation part of this quarantine alarmingly well... Says a lot about me and my family I guess, bunch of asocial weirdos, the lot of us...

Stay safe guys  :salute:.

And post beautiful Buck 110 pics  :pok:

Last year I was asked to make a replacement blade for a young boy that lives up the road.
His dad said he had plenty of rivets... he would attach the blade.
So I copied the older brothers knife and made a blade.

Last week I was busy cutting up a tree for firewood when the young boy turned up randomly over the fence.
While refueling the chainsaw I asked how his knife was.
He said dad has been real busy.
So I told the kid to leave the parts at my place and I'll take a look.

DAY 1:

Couldn't find my rivet gun so improvised.
The set nails were too thick so I cut down some thinner ones to use.

And used the 110 to cut the ends flush.
