Day 6

Opened up the microwave today hoping to find some obvious reason for it not heating stuff anymore, but no luck, every wire, every contact seemed okay. The Spirit's Philips driver performed nicely as always, and I was in huge luck for buying a set of security torx bits a couple of years ago, because to my surprise one of the back screws, but only one, was a security T20.

That is odd, glad you had the right bits available  :tu:

More enticing March 07 action:

Mrs Nix and I were outside (before it snows later) pruning trees, shrubs, and....lilacs.

(Image removed from quote.)

My loppers (seen lying on the ground in a state of shame) were not up to the task. They actually started to break. Since the Swisstool, and its saw, were already in my pocket.....

I will say, the saw seemed a bit short for cutting this branch. It got the job done, and fairly quickly, but I'd have liked another couple of centimeters of cutting capability.

Agree, a longer saw might have been easier, but time you fetched it, the ST took care of business  :like:

:hatsoff: Day 6 -  Spent the better part of the day with Mrs LC on a road trip to pick up supplies in Shipshewana.  I did get to visit a good old style hardware store where I found a nice hummingbird feeder, looked at some cast iron cookware(told we have enough), and reviewed the store’s inventory of high priced Leatherman and Case knifes.

On return trip, took a different route, that took me tthrough Albion where another Case Platinum Dealer is located. Had great visit with the owner and could not leave with out showing my appreciation.  A new Sod Buster Jr came home.

Then daughter, son in law stopped over with my 6 yo granddaughter  !!!

Read her some books, ate chocolate candy and played Jenga while grownups chatted.

The Spirit was there by my side the entire time, with little to do, but cut a bag of Hershey bars open :tu:
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Some really good uses and nice pictures today.

Day 6
Spirit today helped open the mail, which included a new holster.  The Spirit’s phillips driver was used to adjust the cant, height and retention as desired.  The blade was used to cut some velcro to attach a foam wedge.

Love the Navy camo, there!   :like:

Is that a Vedder?

I've got a couple of Vedder holsters. I've been quite happy with them.

Yes, it is a Vedder.  I have a couple of theirs and really like the versatility.  I recommend them a lot to people looking for an IWB holster, especially if new to carrying.

Carefull there, Suecurity torx are on those for a reason.  The capacitors in a microwave can store up to 4,000 volts for several years.  One wrong move and those capacitors will instantly discharge and you could be the recipient of all that voltage.

I saw someone get thrown to the floor courtesy of just that.  Almost 40 years later I can still remember watching it happen.

Day 7

After a bit more work in the garden this morning, I noticed that the lock on the back door was a little loose, so the Philips on the SwissSpirit came in handy!

Old TVs used to catch people out like that, they had some pretty beefy capacitors... What is it called, latent discharge or something?

Thanks to that, not that I would be so adventurous to try to repair one but do learn something new today.

Day 7

Ever since I kinda of getting little back into my Flashaholism, I have been getting a few more unprotected cells for my flashlights.  Tech has really improved leaps and bounds, and the unprotected cell are more and more become a popular use for many flashaholics and vapers.

Anyway, got a new box for the batteries, but it's so tightly shut that I need the unofficial pry tool on my swisstool to help with it.

You could leverage a ship with that tool! Day 7 and I'm just playing with the serrated blade.

No kidding, right!  I used to think 91mm flathead was a good pry tool, but whip this thing out and I do feel like I could leverage a ship on this!
