Day 5 - I removed the seal from the Mrs creamer, utilizing the HOOK!

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day 5
I used the blade to cut apart a child safety cap from a pill bottle so it is now easy to open.  The blade is so sharp I barely felt it cutting through the plastic.

March 06:

Every Fall, early Fall, I put some fencing up to prevent bucks from using our trees (they love, simply love, destroying aspen trees) as scrapes during the rut. With temperatures rising and some early signs of life in the yard, it's time to take the fencing down. The tie-wire is no match for the Swisstool's mighty snips.....

These pliers heads are nice and sturdy. Snips cut that sift steel wire (about two dozen cuts in today's project) like butter.    :tu:

I had 2 Swisstools, the RS and an older red letter model.  I gave the older one to Noah, and so I'm currently without a Swisstool with a file.  I thought it would be a big deal, but that serrated blade made me forget about a file!

Good use, I hope no one in her immediate family suffers MS, it is not an easy long term illness to deal with.

No one in either of our families has MS.  One of my wife’s friends has it and asked people to paint the nails orange last year.  My wife decide to do it again this year.

Good uses Sherry, and good pictures, are we going see a picture of the final results of the nails? (Since this taken early, and beer was involved!)

 No pics of the final job.  Although, maybe the beer helped because it went better this year than last year.

Day 5 bonus, sort of!

The washers I adapted yesterday work, the cable is now connected- but the bike still doesn’t alter resistance - not surprising really as the cable isn’t really under tension - will have to see if there’s a way to remove the slack at lunchtime.... no use for the Spirit, so here’s a beauty snap on my desk!

Good luck on the cable and getting the bike working.

I wish mine had that knife instead of that weeeeiiirddd sheep's foot :(

It is ironic.  I like the serrated blade on my Spirit  XC and wished they had the option on the black Spirit.  I usually carry a knife with straight blade in addition so I like having a different style blade.  I can see where for the challenge of trying to use just one tool it could be not as useful.

Day 5
Time to gather stones together...(Image removed from quote.)

Looks like it is coming along nicely.
Day 5 - I removed the seal from the Mrs creamer, utilizing the HOOK!

Nice use

Looks like someone would like some bread. Although if he is anything like Fisher if he gets some he’ll act like he was cheated out of something better.

Swiss Fuzz Day 5

I'm not sure what you call it, but I made an Italian sort of thing with pork loins and root veg for dinner tonight. Unfortunately I'd eaten nearly half of it before remembering to take a photo. Oh, used the knife blade to prep veg for it etc...

Day 5

Package opening and some quick, minor nail care (not pictured) today with the scissors. IMO - and I guess common MTO wisdom says so as well - the Spirit scissors are the worst in the whole Victorinox range, but following comis's example (? - sorry if I'm giving credit to the wrong member, my memory might fail me on this!) I ground the springbar a bit and it opens adequately since.

Even though the scissors compare badly with the rest of the Victorinox range I think they're still head and shoulders above the competition. On the whole I really like my Wave but the scissors are awful and that's their flagship model. Even the great Gerber scissors aren't as good as the Spirit ones IMO

Hmmm...that's interesting.  I can totally see why the removal of the fish scaler, but would you mind to share with us why backspring phillips and inline phillips in the same mod? :pok: :D

I have been considering doing this as well.  The Spirit scissors cut great but it definitely would be nice if they opened a little wider.

I know McStitchy did a thread on the mod.  So who knows who originally came up with it.  But thanks to everyone who spreads the knowledge wealth to help the community.

You gave me too much credit for the work I didn't do, but that's a good reminder, I should actually do one myself.

It was Ice Tigre who had done it first in 2008 on Mod Squad, then McStitchy done it again 10 years later.  :D
