Anyone got the Northwoods Hiawatha Fixed Blade?

Looks fairly comparable in size to my beloved Izula.  I like the choice in blade steel.  Not much info in this knife?

I suspect it wasn't a popular knife.  I don't have one so I was curious if anyone did.

Your Randall Triathlete is a looker.  I looked at my fixed blades and see a bit of a gap in my little ones.  I'm gonna have to look a bit for comments/reviews of the Hiawatha.

I thought about getting one some years back but didnt want to pay the premium price just for the Northwoods name. It appears to be a well designed blade but didnt care much for the handle. S35V is a slightly improved version of S30V. 35 is not suppose to be as prone to chipping as 30.   :dunno:   I have both steels and dont see enough difference to care one way or the other. I remember way back in the day when 30 was the super steel of choice. Now its just entry level stuff.    :D
What? Enablers! Are you serrrrious? Where? I dont see any.

I had the same memory, and I fell out of the hobby for awhile only to find even Leatherman was able to put this "super steel" on their tools, I was so stoked and confused to see that happened. :D

Back to OP, I think if you are into neck knife, it should be pretty cool, but looks like it has a really thick stock, so actual cutting performance may varies.

Thank you both for your thoughts and comments.  It is really something how a once super steel is "just run of the mill" these days . When I got my Benchmade Mini Griptillian in 440C I felt I wanted or needed the 154CM variety.  I got it second hand and at price I could't pass on.  I have really used that knife quite a bit and its got quite an edge and keeps it.

In reading and watching all the data on steels I admit I have taken a sip of the cool aid.  I have this underlying desire to get the newer stuff.  In no way has my 154CM/S30V/440C/or any number of carbon steels let me down.

I like the over all dimensions of the Hiawatha however thinness of blade is important on such a small knife.

I admit to being a bit a of a steel collector. I just like to play with different steels. Dont know why and dont really care why.     :D
