ALL ABOARD! :: My CRKT Pilar ::
on: February 19, 2020, 10:59:35 PM
The CRKT Pilar was named after renowned novelist Ernest Hemingway's boat, Pilar.

A few years ago, I was on the hunt for a cleaver-style knife. After much consideration, the Pilar ended up in my collection.

My handmade paracord bracelet jig in the above pic. I can adjust it for various lengths.

I love the blunt profile of the blade, which is also quite robust. All around, a fun knife to carry.

Today, I was making a lanyard for my Gerber Suspension NXT for easier retrieval.

The Pilar made quick work of the needed cuts on the paracord.

Here is the final result. I'm thinking it looks rather stylish.

Thanks,

DIAMOND

My Pilars. Original at the bottom, G10 in middle, and Ti on top. I would say this is a very nice platform to produce collectibles, that CRKT missed.

(Image removed from quote.)

I didn't realize they made them from different materials... Or are those your custom designs?

Considering the weight of my stainless model, the other two would be welcome additions.

Beautiful!

Yeah, the other two are with after market scales. I got them three in a knife lot purchased from a gentleman. I was surprised by the build quality of these little knives. They remind me of another gem, which is the SOG Bluto.
