Oh well played Twiglet  What a band! How many other bands could end that many great intros with an even greater song? Not many, that's how many. Real tragedy that he's gone.

In the Rush vein, here's an excellent cover - it's a brave musician that tries to cover Rush, but I think this supergroup do it justice.....
Mind you, if anyone is going to do Neil Peart justice it's Danny Carey  :D. Add Mastodon, Primus and Coheed and Cambria to the mix and you're on to a winner.

That is a good cover, and what's amazing about Rush is that just the 3 of them produced that huge and powerful sound. Carey is also a gifted drummer/percussionist, and I think he's on par with Neil, but with a satisfyingly different style. Tool is a force in their own right, and maybe a little unfair to compare them to Rush because they were completely different generations, but both bands are totally exhilarating.  :tu:

I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I might be crazy but it's kept me from going insane- Waylon Jennings

I've been listening to The Cranberries a lot lately. Thank you Spotify (I have a few  of their CDs as well).
I used to wake up to this song in my late teens. Had my cd player programmed to start with Promises at 6:45 AM every day (minus the stupid sound effects from the music video). Good memories. I'm still sad that Dolores has died

We all have to exit -stage-right, sooner or later. The Cranberries left a indelible mark . I was fortunate to experience the band 3 times , on separate tours.  :like:

True.
I saw them three times as well. First time I almost missed the gig because my train was delayed.

Third time was a bit meh, support act Jo Harman (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jo_Harman) was much more impressive :tu:

The Pogues. One of my favourite soundtracks for work.

Another favourite: Kid Abelha. I love this group so much, I kept asking the owner of the restaurant I used to eat at to play their musics (I gave him some CDs). I ended up being nicknamed "Kid Abelha".

Adriana Calcanhoto. This song is called "8 years". Every verse is like a question from a 8 year old.

Same song, with some images related to the questions:

Legend Carol Kaye came up with the bassline for the original version (earlier that year) as well as many other hits of the time.

This music is an very original samba.
Sang by Cartola, it's one of his most famous songs.

The video is from the japanese anime  Cowboy Bebop.

Angels and Demons in the Dan Brown series,
Figured out how to borrow books from the library without going for ebook, but they didn’t have it in ebook form and it’s the one before The da Vinci code, even though that came out in the movies first with tom hanks, so I gotta listen to it first,,

"The-Mad-Plumbarian" The Punisher Of Pipes!!! JR
As I sit on my Crapper Throne in the Reading Room and explode on the Commode, thinking, how my flush beat John’s and Jerry’s pair? Jack’s had to run for the Water Closet yet ended up tripping on a Can bowing and hitting his Head on the Porcelain God! 🚽
