I’m not really an animal person. I don’t mind them, but I don’t need them.

Last year I relented and got the kids a cat. Last week I got them a dog. The next day I got them 7 chicks.

I guess I’m an animal person now :P

First pic is the cat being unhappy about the new dog. Second pic is the dog a bit wet from the creek, and finally the chicks getting some outdoor time.

Depends on how much of the "work" you do. If you feed, brush, walk them and and get all the attention then you are the animal person.  :like:

Fortunately for me, the kids do 99% of it.  Well, at least for the cat and dog.  I'm making the coop and run for the chickens, but they'll do the "maintenance" on the birds afterwards.  So, its pretty good for me overall  :D

The outdoor temp is down to 55°f which means the a/c hasn’t been on yet the indoor temp is down to 75°f after it was up to 82, and now it feels cold, the Mrs has her socks on which you can’t see because she has pants instead of shorts, yet even the dogs have cuddled up on her feet to keep her warm, lol..

The a/c has been turned off for like two weeks since the outside temp has been nice, heck I went outside to mow the lawn last week and didn’t come in soaked, yet yesterday the inside temp dropped from like 80 to 75, and with it being only 45 outside overnight it dropped to 72 inside, the Mrs was in pants, socks, and a hoodie, at least I put a shirt on for once since she keeps the house around 80, but today, err, she’s either going to make me turn a little heater on or bundle with a blanket! Rosy on the other hand her ears were cold and her nose, OMG, she came over to me and pressed it on my bare leg, wow that was COLD! Right now she’s over in the Mrs recliner curled in a ball, you can’t even tell it’s her..
