Yup and it’s the same price as the other! I found one on eBay but it was almost double the cost, but I really wanted it, the Mrs was like I’m sorry but no, I’ll get you the original one off Amazon, but I found somewhere who’s selling them red for the same price as the silver ones on Amazon,, of course I kinda pushed in the sheath originally it was the one without the steel, but I switched it out and said what the heck, and threw in the victorinox zipper pull to put on the knife and make it a nice complete setup :whistle:

Looks great. Going to pick one up as the Farmer X is my favourite for outdoors activities.

I would love for it to come in the dark green though because I love how that one wears over time.  :drool:

As cool as the red will be, if I could have gotten it in this color, I’d have to be sneaking a little look each day of it knowing it was in the house when the wife wasn’t looking!

Dare I ask where you came across a blue one?

I already caved and ordered a red one.  :whistle: The red looks great when new, but I'm not crazy about how they wear over time... kind of pink-ish looking. The darker colors, but especially green, seem to wear beautifully.

I originally got the silver because it was all that's available and I do like that it hides wear, but I never really cared for the look of the silver if I'm honest.

Funnily enough I really like old red alox, old soldiers/pioneers look amazing I reckon.

I got the blue one on EBay from seller Swissjuice, I recognize the logo on the blade but can’t remember who it is now, you or someone else here should know if you want to try and go direct




I’ve ended up ordering a silver farmer (not x) as perfect for bush walking when I don’t really need the scissors and usually have a 58 on me anyway.
I think the FX is the best SAK ever tbh, I like the PX a lot too but really like a saw

I agree -- the Farmer X is one of the best they've ever made, in my opinion. I think of it like a more rugged Huntsman. Easily my favourite for outdoors.  :cheers:

Oh this sucks, I just helped the Mrs wrap my Xmas gift, I had to sit there with a hat over my face so I couldn’t see and keep passing her tape, all while I could literally smell the fresh oil on my red farmerX and fresh leather Zermatt sheath, I just wanted to flip the hat up, reach for everything and run, but I have to sit and wait..

I've experimented with switching back to my Px, but I'm still skewing pretty Fx heavy.

I have a small hi-vis pack for running, Mostly it just holds my music player, and maybe my wallet and stuff on those rare occasions in which I wear actual running shorts. It has a big plastic D-ring on the shoulder strap I don't use. Rather than just chop it off and throw it out, I decided to make it removable. Saw!
