The FarmerX with red scales just like you posted!
JR

I'm asking about the dark blue one though with the red logo?  ???

Can't seem to find any SAKs with those scales.

No, just red on red, unless it’s not the same as they post,

Oh this sucks, I just helped the Mrs wrap my Xmas gift, I had to sit there with a hat over my face so I couldn’t see and keep passing her tape, all while I could literally smell the fresh oil on my red farmerX and fresh leather Zermatt sheath, I just wanted to flip the hat up, reach for everything and run, but I have to sit and wait..
JR
I feel your pain  :ahhh I felt the same way when it came to my new Boker.

However, STWBO decided that she wanted to buy me something else for Xmas (so no refund for me  ::) )

Good news though, as it means I can use it for the EDC in DEC challenge next month (probably  )
They don't like it up 'em!

Have to post this here as well...

The dark green Farmer X has arrived.

Strangely, they only seem to offer it with a large "Stauder" branding logo on the scales. I should have got more. Perhaps I'll pick up a red one as the one I got as a gift for my dad looks really nice.

It's because of you I got this -- I thank you for the incredible find.  You're in for a treat!

Strange they only have ones with other branding on it now. I hope they bring these plain ones back.

15 more sleeps isn’t too bad MP, gives you something to look forward to doesn’t it…was very tempted by the red but as I have a few red alox SAKs thought green would be a nice change.
The time mine is taking to arrive you may get your before me…I do have a blue one thankfully

I only have two red alox, one keychain and one is my custom, the only other alox I have are one orange cadet and then two silver a farmer and pioneerX, so finding this one in red will make it my edc almost perfect sak! Cause the only thing it’s missing fm my custom is a philips nail file,

Thought about getting a Farmer X, but I don't think I'll get one in the next months. Looked for it in my usual supplier:

Pioneer X = Pioneer + €8 (seems fair)

Farmer X = Farmer + €17 ( ??? ???)

Farmer = Pioneer + €10

Farmer X = Pioneer X + €19

Just the Pioneer X, for now...

On Amazon the Farmer is currently A$43 (bargain), the Farmer X A$93 you’re not wrong that’s one hell of a difference for the X…nice bit of kit though :climber:

Other than the "novelty" factor, i don't see a plausible reason for the much higher (increase) price for the Farmer X  relatively to it's alox counterparts....   :dunno:

Almost seven months later, the silver Fx still my primary carry. I've been getting more out of the saw than I thought I might — mostly cutting notches in things and cutting shapes out of plastics that are too tough for the scissors (this happens more often these days for some reason. Life is weird.)

Mine arrived today Altis, took 7 weeks to Australia from Germany. FarmerX is one of my favourite model SAKs and this one is intended as a user not a shelf queen (got enough of those)…if I ever stop being in challenges that is!

Seven weeks seems long, but not for that beauty.  After seeing the blue, green, and reds....I am feeling a bit inadequate with my silver... :-\

Seriously, congrats on this green one and thanks everyone for showing off the new colors!

Thanks munsonhsr :tu:

I’ve got plenty of silver alox too and at the end of the day if I had to choose one colour and stick with it, silver would be it, classy and classic.

I’ve got a gold cadet and in the pictures it looks really good but tbh it’s my least favourite, just doesn’t translate well like silver

It's a beaute!

Agreed on the use. One of the reasons I like the dark green alox the most is because it wears so beautifully, and the Farmer X is meant to be used.

I do have some silver alox that were intended to be the users since they barely show any wear, so while I'm not as in love with the plain silver when new, they still look great after decades of thorough use.

I will probably try to get a red Farmer X for myself at some point since it's one of my favorite SAKs and sitting here looking at the one I got for my dad for this Christmas, it's a must as well. He may prefer the silver, though, as some people do, so I will give him the option of whichever he prefers. Already gave my brother a silver Farmer X as his would get scratched up very quickly.

Enjoy!  :drink:

:iagree: the green wears really well

I’ve already got a blue one so that’s the back up, plus a silver farmer, PX, pioneer and electrician so plenty to choose from as users but the FX basically has the lot, or everything I need anyway. Plus plenty of celidor of course, love the huntsman and climber too.

Red alox always great, I’ve got a few M1961 red soldiers including my BYSAK kindly supplied to me by Tet this week and an OC red pioneer, look superb with a bit of wear

 to our green FX :drink:
