I never did know who did the work.
I looked at RAIN.Z Knives on instagram (I think this is his page).  Seems like a lot of his Victorinox work is done with screw down rivets, where my carbon one is pins.  :dunno:
https://www.instagram.com/rain.z_knives/?hl=en

Why is it impossible to get?  Just curious.

Are sure those are pins and not screws that have been ground off?  They do that with custom knife building (non-SAK).
My Mods: 58mm Workshop, 91mm Picnicker, CyberCompact
Some Fav's: long nail file models, vintage unusual stainless
Quirk: I like the metal file more than the wood saw

I just think they are pins, I am not sure.  Is there a way to tell?
Here is a close up.  I can take another photo tomorrow you need a better photo.

Update:  I just reached out to the maker to ask him about the rivets.  I'll post an update if I get a reply.

I always thought they were pins, but member DavZell raised the question if they are screws that have been ground off.

Just upon a glance they do appear to be ground flat.   :dunno:

Could be pins with a bit of countersink area, then, when ground flat, they still have a good hold on the scales.

I think the shield looks slightly different than something from Rain.Z

Here is mine for reference. The carbon fiber one looks slightly rounder. Very nice either way. I’d buy it for $25 :)

Thank you for showing the photo.  I hope you don't mind that I cropped the shield so that I could see them side-by-side.
Yes, they do look different.

No worries! Could definitely still be his work (changed over time). Love a good mystery!

I see that in Google images of his knives, even he has more than one shield - a more square one, too.

Mystery still unsolved.
I sent the message almost 2 weeks ago, which in my estimate is a long time in "instant messaging" times.
Not sure what to do next.  :dunno:

Update:
I received a message from Rain.Z through Instagram that this is not his work.  The mystery continues.  :salute:
