I like them knives big

Show off my recent buys: a Kizer Sheepdog XL V5488C4 with 154CM blade and an Artisan Cutlery Proponent 1820P with D2 blade.  :D

They did not cost me an arm and a leg, are impractical in daily activities, but are oh-so satisfying to own and play with. Both got smooth flipping action and solid lock-up.

I got folding cleaver and broken sword for zombie apocalypse. Whatcha got?

In folding knives, a Cold Steel Spartan is my most Zombie apocalypse suited knife.

I have also been looking closely at the CJRB Tigris as a potential future buy.

I have a love / hate relationship with the CS Spartan. I like its form and price point and the solid lock, but hate how hard to disengage the lock. That knife has a strong snap when closing, to the point I consider it dangerous. It bit me hard like a guillotine when I first handled it.  :cry:

I also remembered that I have some large opinel folders, the 12 and the 13.

Regarding the Spartan lock, I assume it is the same issue with all models using the Triad lock.

Demco has produced some newer locks that are of similar strength, but are easier to disengage (intentionally)

Out of the 4 CS knives in my picture, the Spartan is still the hardest to disengage, eventhough it is smaller than both Voyagers. I think it has to do with the tension springs. The spring is wider and curvier on the Spartan.

Nooice, eT  :cheers: Every time I see the CS 4 Max, I kick myself for not picking one up during Black Friday 2020. They were around $200 from Botach. Nowadays, they are $400+ on eBay. Also a lovely 0301 you have there.

The TOPS Tom Brown tracker and CRKT Razel SS7 are recent acquisitions. I used to have a SS7 but sold off, just because how ridiculous (and dangerous) the design was. Somehow another SS7 just came to my possesion again  :P

How is it supposed to be used as a chisel with that glass breaker on the back?  ??? (not talking about the sharp edges everywhere waiting to bite you  :think:)

Don't forget the bottle opener. Think about how all you want is a cold beer but get a bloody cut on the arm instead.

Yeah, it holds literally true for no good deed goes unpunished. Whatever activity you do with the knife, something pointy or sharp goes toward your face  >:D
