Kitchen knives

I don't recall seeing a kitchen knife thread, and to be honest, I'm too lazy to look lol, so why not start one.

I finally treated myself to a good knife. Yep, just one for now, but more will come. I picked up a Shun Premiere Nakiri knife. I considered my Henckels knives to be decent, but they just do not come close to the look, or feel in the hand that this one does.

I've used Wusthof Classic Trident knives for years and have been pretty happy with them  :tu:

I was going back and forth between getting Wusthof or Shun.  I think it was the damascus and the hammered look that really drew me in :dd: lol.

There are some terrific kitchen knives out there and that is one good looking knife.  Congrats.  Nothing is more satisfying that a really good knife in the kitchen, well aside from a great meal.  Whats funny is I really enjoy using whatever fixed blade I have on my to do my kitchen work  :D.

Well I've only done one meal so far, and I didn't take pics of the prep, but here it is ready to eat.

Cutting the veggies and herbs was so effortless! I definitely need to adjust my cutting techniques with this knife.

Looks good.  A good comfortable knife in the kitchen sure makes prep enjoyable.
