More Day 3/3 Action

I made a few lanyards for a Mate who bought a new bike recently. I used the pliers and scissors on the paracord and knots. I found the pliers are to bulky to get into the paracord to tighten it properly and resorted to the Juice Pro I have in the paracord kit. It's pliers are way better suited for the knots. The Spirit scissors though was lovely to use on the paracord. It cut through it very well, so a good pass on that one.

Four implements used to date: blade, scissors, chisel/scraper and pliers

Cheers, Pete
Awesome.  Great use.

DAY 3

Recently I got a lemon plant and it needed to be moved to a bigger pot. So I got a bag of potting soil, especially for citrus trees.

While getting the plant out of the old pot here is what I found. It's good that I had the pliers, I did not want to touch that. Later I saw a few leaves that had huge holes...

Then I opened a bottle of liquid fertilizer. Dang that seal was tough. But I got some help  ;)

Here is the plant in the new pot. Balcony will need some rearrangement, it's a bit messy now  :D

I started fixing a bathroom light but didn't finish today - will need to buy some parts, so I'll post it tomorrow hopefully when it'll be finished. However I have a concern about the wire cutting experience on my Spirit - it really struggles with cutting a standard 220V electrical wire. For example LM Wave  goes through it like it's nothing. And I feel a little bit of play in the plier head. Is there a simple way to tighten the pivot?  :multi:

Day 3

Switched to the XBS today

Best use of all: Box opening for new goodies  :D

Boker brass pen, brass scales for my Classic SD and the Opinel wood saw. Will have to test the saw in the woods next time I go out.

Used the scissors to shorten a brush and make it more narrow, so I could apply the epoxy on the scales without making a mess. Scissors performed admirably  :tu:

Also used the screwdriver to fix a stapler with a stuck staple. Forgot to take a pic though  :twak:

I have found that some MT's have issues with cutting multi-strand wire. Gerber's on the MP600 for example (the replaceable ones). They are just too wide, and smash the cable instead of cutting it. The "normal" ones have no problems with cable. I have not tested the Spirit on cables yet, but I could see that the somewhat weird shaped cutters on it could cause issues. When it comes to wire cutters on MT's I prefer the basic ones. No need to make them replaceable or overly fancy. It's WIREcutters, not NAILcutters or TORTUREMYMTcutters.  :P

Day 3

Came home from work to find a parcel from Victorinox  Switzerland and used the plain blade on the Swisstool to open it. I was surprised by the warning labels but that was due to the fragrance I had ordered. On a funny note I can now say I’ve got wood 😂

Nor I.  I have had that kind of experience with my Center Drive, and typically Leatherman has had the best cutters around, but I've yet to try Vic's.

Lots of great uses today.  People really putting their SwissTools (Spirits) to the test.

Day3

My use was pretty basic today.  Opened and broke down a box.  Then did so e yard work where the Spirit scissors cut some weedeater cord and the chisel helped clean it afterward.
