I love the Swisstool files!  I don't use them often, but they're wonderful when you do need them  :tu:

So true, actually since I don’t sharpen knives with a file I totally prefer Victorinox files over Leatherman

Interesting observation: all files on my Work Champ, Swiss Champ and Spirit X feel different when I touch them - Work Champ feels the least and Spirit feels the most aggressive. Do you guys have similar impressions?

Awesome uses, guys! I like the file as well...very sharp. I also love Costco's thick sliced bacon! I might need to take a package out of the freezer... :D

Day 2/30 and the only thing I needed today was a nail file. So, much as I like my RS I had to resort to a Classic. It's been a quiet day.

Day 2

Opened a milk container in the morning, but because the pull tabs suck, it ripped after barely getting started. I swear these stupid pullers fail more often than they work  :twak: Spirit to the rescue.

Large screwdriver helped clean mowing equipment after mowing. Spirit got some cleaning after.

DAY 2

Swisstool helped building a new wallet for myself.

And then showed off with the result.

It is still wet in the pictures so that won't be the final color. But it was getting late and I wanted to post it here so... Also it seems I'm in need of bigger laser. The one I have only makes small stuff.

For me, in order of most aggressive to least, are the Spirit, Workchamp, then the Swisschamp.  My Swisschamp is an early 90's model so that might be the difference.

Keep up the great work guys!

Day 2

Used a file to trip stoppers on a hydrator.
First of all - luckily - our friend was going from Kyiv and brought my backpack with a bunch of gear for the emergency.
Among other things there is my hydrator. I have it for quite a few years already and it’s a really good one made by Source that I bought in Chamonix, France, but what always pissed me off was how difficult it is to remove the covering cap when you’re thirsty.
Since we have this amazing challenge I decided to finally fix that, so I used a file to slightly file down the stoppers and now the cover holds but is really easy to remove

I love Source bladders and soft bottles, especially the Nomadic.

Part of today’s use was actually cutting a bladder hose off a lid, so I could make an adapter to use a water filter with the Nomadic bottle.

Day 2
I used the chisel to cut a hydration tube as part of making a water filter adapter for a collapsible bottle.

I also used the small screwdriver to replace the battery on a key fob

Day 2 I used a few different implements today including the knife, large phillips driver and the awl.

Installed some door hardware and a door stop - the awl was handy for making a quick starter hole exactly where needed. Finished using the large phillips driver to secure the stop's base to the baseboard.

Day 3/31

G'Day,

Today was a slightly more user day than just food prep. Got to use the pliers for removing staples and the "cutter thingy" to open a small box. That is quite a handy little bit on the tool. For the staples, I think the sharper nose pliers from a Leatherman is better for the small staples. The big ones was not a problem. The last pic was just posing on the BMW GS (BatMan's Wheels)  :D

I like the tool so far. Size is excellent. Tomorrow will be some extra use in the garage fitting a few bits to the boy-child's Honda. We'll see how far we get before having to get proper tools.

Cheers, Pete

More Day 3/3 Action

I made a few lanyards for a Mate who bought a new bike recently. I used the pliers and scissors on the paracord and knots. I found the pliers are to bulky to get into the paracord to tighten it properly and resorted to the Juice Pro I have in the paracord kit. It's pliers are way better suited for the knots. The Spirit scissors though was lovely to use on the paracord. It cut through it very well, so a good pass on that one.

Four implements used to date: blade, scissors, chisel/scraper and pliers

Cheers, Pete
