Is the stock scissors good enough for the para-cord?

The jerky looks good!!!

Pete
I think the Spirit scissors work even better than normal SAK scissors (which I normally use) for paracord.  Im not sure exactly what it is, but it might be a culmination of: the Spirit scissors are thicker on the spine and do not taper as much, the edge looks sharpened at greater angle and the pivot seems stronger/tighter.

Day 26

I ordered some things from small businesses in Ukraine to help support them, and one of the items actually made it!  :woohoo:

(Image removed from quote.)
That is cool.  I had been considering ordering a pocket organizer off Etsy from a Ukrainian maker for a while and decided to go ahead for the same reason.

That's it Sherry!  They really do cut like a dream.  I'm going to do my own 30 day Spirit carry in June just to get some carry time with it.  My son is participating in this challenge, Spartan 19.  He loves his Spirit.  I EDC the regular Swisstool for work, so I get a lot of carry time with it.  I want to spend time putting those Spirit scissors to work!

Turns out a dishwasher is the problem something must have gone wrong with the power cable, because as soon as I plug it into any outlet - we see a flash and the power is gone.
If things are normal with the dishwasher unplugged, definitely leave it that way. Nice work, by the way!

Day 28: Got to cut some wire by way of a cord.  It cuts with no issues, but I had to get creative due to the diameter of the cord.  If I had to pick my favorite mt cutters, I think it would probably be Leatherman.

Don't start on that one, my boot collection is "comprehensive" to say the least...  :D

These are warranty replacement motorbike boots, the old ones soles started pulling loose at the heel, 14 months old. I changed brand from Sidi to Dianese. These Dianese boots are slightly higher and more comfortable on the bike.

I think that a MT is a compromise cable cutter. They will do it quite easily, but the size of the cutting surface is way to small for these cables. But to me, this is the idea of a challenge. See what works and what doesn't, get the correct tool for the job then.

Which LM do you prefer for cable cutting?

Pete
