Bug off!
on: June 16, 2022, 10:27:23 PM
I may have mentioned this before, but I am fascinated by the movement of water, and the chaos it represents.  I could sit and watch a stream, waterfalls, rapids etc all damn day.

When I'm out and I encounter such things I try to shoot video of it, often using the slow motion function on my phone.  Today I was filming the rapids under the bridge we are building, and thinking it was pretty cool when this bug flew right by me.  I thought it was kind of cool and hoped it showed up on the video.

Yes.  Yes it did.  :D

Cool video, sir.

I know what you mean about water.  Whether its the "B-Dry" system that removes water from the foundation of our house, or just the flow of the gutters to the street, there is something very mesmerizing and satisfying about watching it.

Was hoping this thread was going to be about bug repellents.

Pretty cool clip there Def. Is that a giant mayfly?

Lame, you say?  I follow a few plumbers on Youtube, who frequently get covered in a fountain of human effluent.  Good times.  I especially like Drain Addict and Penetrator.  Check them out.  Both are Aussie.

I believe so, but I'm not well versed in entomology, so I really couldn't say for sure.

All I know is I thought it looked cool!

Is Entomology the study of Entenmann's Baked goods?  Because I could really go for some chocolate chip cookies right now.

I thought it was the study of slow moving tree creatures.  Hroom hroom.

I thought the thread would be about bugs. I like bugs.
After watching the clip three times I´m pretty certain it´s a dragonfly.
