The Gear List- Pliers-based Multitool Check (Pulse, ST 200)- Dedicated Folding Knife and fixed blade if your legal situation allows Check [sod buster and cable knife)- Dedicated Flashlight Check (Milwaukee)- Dedicated Pen Check (Fisher and/or Rite In Rain)- Watch Check (cell phone)- Fidget or memento- Sanitary item e.g. hand sanitiser, sheet soap, coin towel- Lighter/matches Check (small Bic)- Hankerchief or Bandana Check (bandana)- 93mm or 91mm SAK Check (Super Tinker)- 84mm SAK Check (EvoGrip 14)- 58mm or 74mm SAK Check (Mini Champ)I forgot about the sanitary item, but that will be easy to include. The fidget/memento has been the difficult item for me. I am not sure what I will do.I will share pics as soon as my gear is complete
Mainly the middle size SAK
84mm, Cadet
Was planning on joining, have a little bantam in the basket. However last minute holiday deals will mean I’ll miss the first week. Will still follow though!
That's an excellent and perhaps "best" choice in the 84mm class where size and weight constraints are at a premium as in this Challenge.
After a lot of debate, I’m in.1) GearedForwards2) RF523) Farmer X4) Adam55) Sos24Although, two questions for clarification - - Can a spark wheel or mini fire steel count in place of lighter/matches?- Does a challenge coin count as a fidget or memento?
I'll start this one since I carry most of this stuff anyway, but no guarantees I'll finish. I'll be working 15 hour days in a government facility for a couple of weeks in mid August and cameras are not allowed so my pictures on those days will be taken at home and rather late in the evenings. 1) GearedForwards2) RF523) Farmer X4) Adam55) Sos246) Tasky7) comis Alan K.

Still early, Comis, but has anyone asked, "Are you participating in the MTO Loaded Pockets Challenge, or are you just happy to see me?"I'm still picking my gear for the challenge. I've got most of it sorted but I'm trying to decide if my dedicated knife should be a Spyderco so I can apply for that badge, or if my pliers tool should be the Leatherman Mini so I can apply for that badge. Could go either way, unless GF comes up with a bulging pockets badge.
Excellent start Comis! Is that a Nitecore Tiki? What's your hygiene item?
A badge would be great What's the threshold for that?
My set of gears for the loaded pocket today:
Nice loadout! Day 0I thought it might be helpful to show a photo of my pants, which have a lot of pockets. 1-8 are on the left side, 9-16 are on the right. 6, 7, 14, and 15 are hidden and accessed by lifting the flaps for 5 and 13. Hopefully the presence of 4 and 12 is clear enough (a machinist's rule is poking out of 12 in the photo). My current plan is: pockets 1 through 4 will be largely empty. 5 will hold the flashlight. 6 and 7 will be largely empty. The 85mm SAK will be in 8. 9 will hold the bandana. 10 and 11 may hold dedicated knives (as 11 does currently). 12 is reserved for my phone. 13 will hold the sanitary item, fidget, and lighter. 14 is reserved for my wallet. 15 will hold the PB multi. 16 will hold the 91/93mm SAK. The pen does not yet have a designated spot. There is awlso a photo of my current loadout:Case Sod Buster Jr.Victorinox BantamCraftsman 95067Leatherman Pulse *Victorinox Classic SD (on neck lanyard)Wood pen (that I made from a kit) *Victorinox PioneerKelly Green bandanaCasio G-SHOCK *Hand sanitizer *Marble (the fidget)Bic lighterOlight I1R2-EOSItems marked with an asterisk will be seen throughout the challenge.[/list] [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]
I think it will be very challenging, artistically, to create an image for a loaded pockets badge that doesn't look like a poopy diaper award unless you use the image of the jeans rear pocket from GF's opening post.
Good call! That's a RovyVen Aurora flashlight, I think they OEM for the Nitecore Tiki.
I think RovyVon started a great trend with the rechargeable keychain flashlight that several companies copied with slight minor changes. After trying a few, I like the Mateminco CSF03 and RovyVon A8x best.
